Andrew Boyce is a jazz musician and music teacher currently located in the Denver/Arvada Colorado area. He has performed at such venues as Dazzle Restaurant and Lounge, El Chapultepec Too, The D Note and the Bliss Cafe in Arvada, the Fox Theater in Aurora, and many other venues throughout Colorado, New York, Oklahoma, and Texas. Andrew has a variety of performing ensembles he is involved with and is available to fill just about any live music performance need you may have. Andrew is also available for private music lessons in Arvada as well as at Instrumentally Sound guitar shop at 4412 Yates St in Denver, and at Pickin On Tennyson at 4252 Tennyson St. in Denver. Andrew graduated in 2004 from the University of North Texas in Denton with his Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at UNT Andrew had the opportunity to learn directly from such jazz notables as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kenny Wheeler, John Abercrombie, Dave Douglas, Maria Schneider, John Stowell, Bob Brookmeyer, Ben Monder, Jimmy Heath, Freddie Bryant, and many more. During this time, Andrew gained valuable experience teaching private guitar, bass, and improvisation lessons, orchestra, guitar ensembles, and elementary general music. In the last few years, Andrew has also been hired to perform in pit orchestras for musical theater shows such as "Bare" the musical and "All Shook Up". He has done graduate work at the University of Northern Colorado, and has extensive private study with master musicians/teachers Dale Bruning and Art Lande.
